Nine months after launching the Galaxy A70, Samsung last week, unveiled the Galaxy A71. This is the second new phone from Samsung’s 2020 Galaxy A lineup to be unveiled so far, the first being the Galaxy A51. Samsung has made some design improvements to the device and upgraded some of the specifications. However, it has more than a few similarities with the Galaxy A70.
For starters, the display size is exactly the same on both devices, even though the Galaxy A71 uses an Infinity-O display with a centered punch hole for the selfie camera. Both devices are made of the same Glasstic material but Samsung has added a bit of splash to it with the new prism pattern and colors.
The Galaxy A71 offers significant improvements in the camera department even though some of its other specifications remain the same as the Galaxy A70. Samsung has neither added a bigger battery nor ramped up the charging speed on the new model.
Below are the specifications of both devices;

The Samsung Galaxy A71 smartphone has a big screen with a 6.7-inch display, one frontal and four rear cameras and a huge 4,500mAh battery. And with the launch of its new smartphone, Samsung believes it has it on exactly what consumers want, which is, a big screen, lots of cameras, and long battery life.
This phone was specifically aimed at the TikTok generation, which is a younger audience that spends a lot of time online, sharing and creating video content.
The only negatives the phone has is that it isn’t water-resistant and it has no ability to charge wirelessly.
Design and Display
Its huge 6.7-inch display defines the Samsung Galaxy A71 design, which dominates the front of the handset. It has minimal bezels around the side which fits in your hands better than you can imagine.
It uses Samsung’s Infinity-O screen technology. The front-facing camera takes up more space on the A71 than it does the cheaper Galaxy A51, even though they have the same lens. The Galaxy A71 uses a Super AMOLED Plus panel, which is thinner and lighter.
It has a measurement of 163.6 x 76 x 7.7 mm and weighs 179g which makes it easier to use. It comes in the following colors, black, silver, blue and pink. It has a Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400) which provides a good level of detail on-screen. It has a fingerprint scanner embedded into the display and also gives you the option to use face recognition to unlock the phone.
Camera and Battery
One of the major facts about Samsung Galaxy A71 is its cameras. The front camera is 32MP. It has four cameras at the back. The main sensor has a 64MP, f/1.8 offering. It also has a 123 degree, 12MP ultra-wide camera. There is also a 5MP macro and 5MP depth cameras for close-up shots and background blur effects, respectively.
Performance and Specifications
Samsung Galaxy A71 has an octa-core processor and 6GB of RAM (some regions will get 8GB). The device comes running Android 10 and 128 GB storage. The Galaxy A71 also has a MicroSD slot that supports cards up to 512GB in size.
Arguably, the Samsung Galaxy A71 has a lot to offer, from its big screen and power to the feature-packed cameras and massive battery.
